Great Intermediate Knitting book. Karla Denton, a long time knitter (over 40 years), 10/01/2006
If you are a knitter with a couple of simple projects under your belt, comfortable with casting on and off, knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases, then you are ready to tackle socks. This is a book that will give you the same good understanding of construction that a hands on class will. The author goes into the basics of construction top down, toe up and using several different methods (4 and 5 dpn, 2 circs). A great reference book with sizing charts, lots of stitch patterns and pictures to inspire. When I hit a snag or a lack of inspriation in my own sock knitting, this is one of the books I reach for.
